Which cameras will most appeal to retailers?
The typical retailers will buy cameras in at 80% fixed to 20% PTZ ratio, with PTZs strategically placed in areas of high impact.
Retailers who have employees watching monitors full-time often increase the percentage of PTZs
The goal of camera placement is to get a good view of every person entering or leaving.
Black and white cameras are only marginally cheaper than color cameras, but provide a much lower quality picture - it's almost never worth the cost savings to buy black and white.

4. Discreet – Reasonably small and covert in that it is difficult to tell which direction the camera is actually pointed
5. Easy to Clean – Encasing the camera in the dome means that it can be cleaned with minimal care
6. Neat – Unlike a box camera, the wires are all hidden by the dome

    ExitView - Door Camera
1. Well Positioned – Mounted in the doorframe to view someone exiting a building (typically a masked robber will remove the mask at the doorway for better visibility in getting away and to not draw attention).
2. Captures Height – Because of the height strip, the pictures will capture the height of the person as well as the images.
3. Low Maintenance – Once installed, the camera requires very little care.

What access control system is right for your retailer?
Retail has not typically emphasized access control with the reasoning that the idea is to let people into the store, not to keep them out. While this is true, with the growing losses due to internal theft, it is increasingly important to secure back doors, stockrooms, etc. in the stores as well as maintain control in warehouses and corporate offices. Honeywell has access control systems to meet every need. By switching even single doors to access control systems, a retailer solves issues of re-keying, unknown duplications, key returns by terminated employees, etc.

  Single Store Recommendations
In this case, the system is set up for a single store and the decision is based on number of doors and desire for computer control/access

    NS1 - Single location

2. Multiple programming options – Program the NS1 with a set of programming cards or a handheld programmer.

2. Cost Effective – NStar provides full-featured access contro that can expand as needs change.
3. Computer control – Provides remote and local access through a standard, non-dedicated PC

  Multi-location Recommendations
In this case, the system is set up for multiple stores as well as possibly warehouses and corporate offices. The decision here can be cost based as well as based on feature sets.

    WIN-PAK PRO - Multi-location
1. Multiple Accounts – Each remote location is a separate account. Generate reports or manage users per account.
2. Unlimited Doors – Usable on an unlimited number of doors.
